We are excited to announce our latest auction, Music Support’s Rock Icons, with five incredible prizes on offer donated by three legendary rock acts: KISS, Roger Waters and Squeeze.
The demand on Music Support’s services has increased significantly and sees us currently supporting the highest number of beneficiaries since our inception with alcohol dependency and co-occuring mental ill-health the most significant challenges, followed by anxiety, depression, burnout and ADHD. The funds raised from this auction will enable our dedicated team to continue our essential efforts in helping our music industry peers impacted by mental ill-health and/or addiction.
Music Support’s Rock Icons auction features five truly spectacular prizes that are an absolute must for any diehard music fan:
GENE SIMMONS AXE BASS, STAGE-PLAYED AND SIGNED BY GENE DURING 2023 KISS ‘END OF THE ROAD’ TOUR
This awesome AXE bass was played on stage by Gene during KISS’ End of the Road Tour in 2023. It has been personally signed by Gene and is a rare opportunity to own a piece of KISStory.
Of his contribution to the auction, Gene Simmons said “I am honoured to lend my support to Music Support to raise funds for their vital efforts in helping our music industry peers struggling with mental health or addiction challenges. It holds a lot of meaning to me as it’s one of the final guitars I played during our unforgettable farewell shows so I hope it goes to a very worthy home.”
ERIC SINGER CUSTOM SNARE DRUM SIGNED BY ALL KISS MEMBERS
This striking custom Eric Singer Mirrorball snare drum was signed by all members of KISS at Madison Square Gardens, New York, in December 2023 as part of the final show of their End of the Road Tour. It’s a truly awesome instrument and a keepsake of their phenomenal career.
Of his contribution to the auction, Eric Singer said “The music industry is a hugely rewarding business to work in but with the highs come the lows. We’re proud to donate this signed snare to Music Support so they can continue to help people who work in the industry struggling with mental ill-health and/or addiction.”
ROGER WATERS LIMITED EDITION STERLING SILVER RING
This unique Sterling 925 Silver ring made with strings played by the legendary Roger Waters during his ‘This is Not A Drill’ 2022/23 tour.
The ring will be custom made to your size by The Guitarwrist, the organisation who make bespoke jewellery gifted by artists, with funds raised going to the charity of their choice.
Given the strings gifted to create this stunning ring were used by Roger to play arguably some of the greatest rock songs of all time, including “Wish You Were Here” and “Comfortably Numb” it is an essential keepsake for any devoted fan.
SQUEEZE SIGNED FENDER STRATOCASTER
This spectacular white Fender Player II Stratocaster was chosen for its similarity to the one played by Chris Difford in Squeeze’s iconic ‘Up the Junction’ music video, signed by Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, especially for you.
Of the band’s donation, Chris Difford said, ““We’re really happy to sign this guitar, donated by our friends at Fender, to raise funds to help Music Support continue their crucial work in supporting our music industry peers impacted by mental ill-health and addiction, a cause very close to my heart.”
SQUEEZE VIP SHOW PACKAGE WITH MEET & GREET AND SIGNED TOUR POSTER
This amazing prize has been donated by multi-award-winning British rock band, Squeeze; pioneers of the New Wave movement of the 1970’s and still going strong today. You and a guest will be treated to a VIP experience at a show of your choice, access to soundcheck followed by a meet and greet with the band and two front row tickets to the show. The band are also kindly donating a tour poster that will be signed by them after soundcheck (personally to you if desired).
Of the band’s donation, Chris Difford said, “We’re proud to donate this VIP prize package to Music Support to raise funds for their essential efforts in helping our music industry peers struggling with mental ill-health and addiction. We’re celebrating 50 years together, so it promises to be a really special day for the winner and their guest”.
