As part of Mental Health Awareness Week 2020, we’ve partnered with Help Musicians to offer 4,500 musicians free access to the NHS-approved mental health and wellbeing app, Thrive.
A recent Help Musicians survey saw over 80% of respondents confirm that the current crisis is having an impact on their wellbeing, signaling a need to invest in early detection and preventative mental health support for musicians.
Access to Thrive through Help Musicians will be made available in the coming weeks to the 16,700 recipients of Help Musicians’ first phase of hardship funding.
Eric Mtungwazi, Managing Director, Music Support, said:
“Music Support is proud to partner with Help Musicians in this initiative that will help thousands of vulnerable musicians across the country during this difficult time. Our aim is to make the “ask” and access for help as easy as possible for peers working in the music industry. Thrive provides us with an opportunity to do just that in an effective way during and post-lockdown.”
