Since November 2019 and throughout Lockdown, Music support is proud to have trained more than 350 of our industry peers in Mental Health First Aid skills.

We are now back on the road!! Festivals are happening and tours are underway. If ever there was a time that Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is important, it’s now!

It might have been some time since you completed your MHFA course and you may not be feeling as confident as you did when you first completed it. This is not unusual, and we have a solution.

We are pleased to share that we are running our first MHFA refresher course on Wednesday 22nd June from 10am – 2pm. It is perfect for anyone in Music and Live Events who has completed the MHFA course (whether or not you did your original training with Music Support) and wants to refresh their skills and knowledge.

It is recommended that, just like physical health first aiders, MHFA graduates do a refresher course after three years, but, many people like to do it sooner as a way of cementing knowledge and refreshing skills. During the course you will have the opportunity to:

  • Renew skills learnt on the MHFA course
  • Update knowledge of mental health supports
  • Practice using the MHFA action plan

The course costs £125 per person. If you would like to sign up please contact learning@musicsupport.org
