Join us at The Great Escape on Friday 12th May

We’re pleased to be returning to The Great Escape Conference on Friday 12th May where Belinda and Lynne will be exhibiting throughout the day in the Leonardo Waterfront hotel Atrium (please come and say hi!). We are also hosting a special panel ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week taking place in Room 2 (aka Noblesse room) at the hotel at 1pm.

Anxiety and the Music Industry

Anxiety: ‘Distress or uneasiness of mind caused by fear of danger or misfortune.’

Mental Health Awareness Week 2023 takes place from 15th – 21st May, with this year’s theme being anxiety. Ahead of this, Music Support, the charity that helps those who work in music and live events affected by mental ill-health and/or addiction, invites you to join them for a special discussion surrounding the various forms of anxiety affecting our industry peers, how we can tell if we’re suffering from it and how we can manage it. The session will be hosted by Rachael Lander, Music Support trustee and session cellist who used alcohol to medicate her crippling performance anxiety. She has been in abstinence based recovery since 2007. Rachael will be joined by R&B singer & songwriter Kadeem Tyrell, psychotherapist and musician, Matthew Starritt and ‘Earth Music Agency’ Managing Director and Booking Agent, Naomi Palmer, all of whom have experienced anxiety within the industry.
